That's really cool. So, Heber H. was Grandpa Giles' dad or grandfather? I can look it up. I just forget. I always like the stories of the person that converted and started that chain of church membership the most. I wish we knew more about their conversion in Nottingham, like who the missionary was, etc. Sounds pretty smart to come up by boat from New Orleans. Did a lot of people do that? Still had the long trek across the plains by ox-cart. But that is better than handcart, right? And hopefully by 1856 things were running a little more smoothly.
Kind of weird that they went to Provo first. Our family has done a lot of stomping on that ground.
