Thanksgiving

So while we're making plans...whats up with Thanksgiving? Anyone? Anyone?

I vote not AZ only because I'm sure we'll end up there for Christmas. But I know there's the problem of mom's house not being that big. I could maybe have some people down here, but it's not really all that close, and I'm not sure what my roommates are doing yet...

The big question is are the Kleven's or the Froerer's going some place like Utah?

We are up in the air wondering what to do still. Kate and I have talked neither have plans. Yea it is much easier to stay put for Christmas to hard to move Christmas for 4 kids.
Ideas??? MOM...we haven't heard from you in a while.

That's because I don't have a plan either. I can go wherever you want me to be. I don't think anyone here has made any plans.

I do plan to be in AZ at Christmas--long enough to work on Amy's front yard--which, I suppose, wouldn't hurt to get started in Nov.

Do we want to do double duty and go to AZ twice? It would also be close to Janie's B-day.

We don't care either way really.

I have hosted one Thanksgiving here for Dana's family and we pulled it off so I know we could do it again! It's fun seeing the Large's (and whoever else from mom's side that comes) when we go to Nancee's house but if it's too much of a headache we can stay here. If Sally has room I wouldn't mind staying there either. Next year is the tri-annual Kleven reunion but this year no plans.

Mom- do you have a friend in Italy? (see comment on last post)

Mom said...

No. I have no idea what that's about--some random person that dropped in, I guess. Maybe we should "close our doors" to anyone who's not invited to visit.

Do both the AZ families want to come down here? If so, I can check with Nancee and see if she has plans, and if she can open up a bedroom or sleeping bag space.

Sal, any idea when you might find out what's happening at your house?

BTW: I mentioned camping at Doheny to Rosie, and she said it's her favorite beach camp ever!

I say book-it

Amy said...

Yes lets do it! Camping as far as Thanksgiving I'd be good with that.
Maybe it is a good idea to go private or moderate comments left at least?

Rand what are you plans for Turkey DAY?

Mom said...

What? Who said camping at TD?

Kate said...

Can you mediate comments on blogger? Amy what did you say yes to?

Amy said...

I was trying to say Thanksgiving in cA I am good with. And camping book it, sorry a bit confusing

Mom said...

OK. Just talked with Nancee and she's ready and willing to have TD at her house and has room for anyone who wants to sleep over. I told her IF it were to happen that sleeping bags and mats on the floor would work, but she says she should have 1 or 2 bedrooms available too. She's happy to do it.
Next?

Hey Giles Family!! I've been having fun checking out what ya'll have been up to lately. Your vacation plans look awesome. :) I have a small request....could I please be invited to Amy's blog?!?!? Here's my email! joyous_33@yahoo.com

Amy, all that confusion could be avoided by not using run-on sentences. Punctuation DOES matter, see?
I actually understood what you were saying. Is Doheny up in LA? I think it sounds great, too.
For Thanksgiving, I will check soon on what my roommies are doing.... Single people tend to make last minute plans, because we can.
It was fun last year when everyone came to Nancee's for Thanksgiving. Jeff, what's Stevie's family doing? We never see them enough for them living so close, and I know they come down here pretty often, too.
But I would be fine just keeping it to our family, too.

Sal aren't you in charge of this blog? Can you close it off to anyone who wasn't invited to it? ie people we don't know.

Once you guys sort out what we're doing let me know and I'll talk to Steve.

I set it up, but everyone can access it with the user info I gave you. Mom has it written down I think.
I don't really know how to do it, but I think we'd have to send invites to everyone who wants to look at it after closing it off.

I think Joyous might be Joy Olson; Betsy asked me for the address so she could let Joy see the kids.
