Countdown
Everyday the kids ask "how many days until the beach campout?" Now it's only 1 week! As excited as they are, I'm sure I have them beat. Amy and I are doing a little "summer school" where we trade kids and try to teach them something new or do an activity. The kids all made this flag together. Now I just need to get a pole/stake for the ground and we'll have our Giles Camp flag all ready. Hopefully it catches some air at some point!

I have one sleeping bag and a memory foam pad that works great to sleep on. Randa, since I think you are driving maybe you could bring yours, too. I don't think Eter and I will ever be needing sleeping bags at the same time, so we'll just share mine.
Anything else I need to bring that I'm not thinking about?

Yea, school's out! I'm going shopping tomorrow for a sleeping bag and a new camp stove.
Amy said she's bringing the tent--and I'm going to borrow it afterwards to use for Girls' Camp. So that means I'll have to get out there sometime this summer to return it--not planned out that far yet.
Seems to me, camping in the middle of the city is a fine thing (never done that before)--if we forget something, we can still get whatever we need pretty easily at the closest store. Not too shabby, tabby!
Yea mom! I'm soooo glad that school's out! And Sal- only 1 more paper! woo-hoo!
I think we better make sure we have 6-8 sleeping bags and everyone can use them when they have a turn in the tent.
WE have at least 4 sleeping bags and I think a camp stove need to check on that.
It's probably the one mom can't find :)
I got a smashball set at Old Navy today. Sounds like we have enough sleeping bags if everyone brings what they have.
Mom I got your message about the plastic wear. I hadn't really thought about that so that's good. does someone have a big pitcher with the spout we could put water in?
I've got Smashball, too. I thought it would be good to have some games for the adults, too, and probably some cards. You can't camp without cards. I have one deck. Anyone have a frisbee? I think my roommate has about five if no one does.
I also have two beach chairs. I'm sure we'll want these around the campfire and on the beach.
Does Mom still have the half-red, half-white Coleman water cooler? I love that thing, but I doubt it's still around.
Water Cooler! That's the word I couldn't think of. We have 2 frisbees and cards.
I don't have the old red and white jug...sorry, but I have a big orange 5 gal. one with a push-spout. I have 2 frisbees, a few sand toys, and a couple of beach chairs. I also have a deck of cards, lots of Uno cards, and 2-3 boogie boards.
At Costco today I bought a big pile of paper plates, cups and utensils--will get some bowls for cereal/stew, and napkins too.
Also got a couple dozen packages of trail mix for munching. I have 3-4 marshmallow cooker sticks--will get the mmallows and other snack stuff.
Sally, do you have any idea what you want to plan for our dinner night?
Lets make some assignments here. We all seem to have cards and frisbees. I say bring your own chairs for what u need. I have enough for my fam. Bring your own drinks and snacks for durning the day? Lets let Mom bring frisbees,cards boogie boards etc.. I do have a few other outside games I can bring. I will work on some activities. Everyone also needs their own flashlight. If possible I have a fun game of flashlight tag for night. (just grab some cheap ones.) It is getting close sooo fun!
No idea still, Mom. I'm still writing a paper. I'll think about it Wednesday though.
It would help to know what Thurs and Fri will be so we don't repeat.
I've got a sleeping bag. Anything else I should bring I think you guys have it covered. I may not be there until Friday morning. We'll see...

I left my memory foam in the back of my car for jeff to bring down with him. He supposed to bring it with him. Also my sleeping bag and blanket, please. See you guys soon.
